There is ample room to lead and collaborate with the team to realise a high degree of effective and efficient processes and services.

Information about ISD Secondary

About five years ago, the International School Delft (ISD) Secondary started with 12 students. Nowadays, 270 students from all over the world visit the school. Most of the staff members have been there since the start. With international organisations such as the TU, IKEA and others there was a demand for international education for the surroundings of Delft. The schools in the Delft/The Hague area already had waiting lists at the time. The ISD Primary and Secondary provide an attractive environment for international mobile employers. Of course, there are direct ties between both schools. In 2025, ISD Secondary will be housed in the near vicinity of ISD Primary, thus allowing more effective and efficient cooperation between the two sections of the school.

In the near future, ISD Secondary will have 440 students. This also means an increase in staff members.

ISD's mission is driven by the IB learner profile and inspired by Delft:

"Inspiring learning for a sustainable future".

Their vision is "to be an inclusive community that embraces authentic, inquiry-based learning to create compassionate, internationally minded individuals who strive to make a positive and peaceful change in the world."

ISD Secondary's unique points are:

  • A Tight-Knit Friendly Community: As a smaller international school, ISD Secondary offers a warm and supportive environment where students, teachers, and parents come together. The intimate size allows the school to truly get to know each student's unique personality and background, fostering their social and emotional development.
  • Embrace the Future with Inquiry-Based Learning: ISD Secondary believes in future-oriented education that is current, relevant, and prepares students for the ever-changing world. The curriculum places a strong emphasis on design, innovation, and sustainability.
  • Collaborate and Grow: Collaboration is at the heart of everything. The school values diversity and believes that by working together and sharing knowledge, they can achieve greater success. Their partnership with the highly acclaimed Technical University of Delft inspires and motivates the students, providing opportunities for joint projects and design thinking.
  • Benefit from a Supportive and Dedicated Staff: The teachers are passionate about education and committed to the school's mission. They continually update their skills through professional development courses, ensuring their teaching remains current and effective.

ISD Secondary is part of Lucas Onderwijs, one of the larger school boards in the region The Hague/Delft.
